Field Structure Theory (FST) arises from the realization that to know what mass and energy, space and time are, it is necessary to know the structure of an action field. Objects in the field, such as a particle, can no more explain the field than can a knot explain a string. Particles, like knots, are localized special circumstances of the string. The knot is dependent entirely on the dynamics of the string. There can be a string without a knot but there cannot be a knot without a string.
Contemporary mainstream physics, with its investment in Quantum Mechanics, has provided us with great amount of detail as to the collective nature of objects and how objects act and react in a field but has no clue as to the nature of the field itself. If it did, we would know by now the how particles are related, why they have the mass they have, their relationship to gravity, how to structurally explain spin, handedness, the parameters of a particle's ability to handle energy inputs and out-takes, etc. The list is long. Most perplexing has been our inability to unite the known fields.
Field Structure Theory is derived from the realization that mass and energy are the product of loops of action. The explanation for how our universe achieves it form is understood by knowing how these loops of action are structured. FST models loops of action at the mencro scale (the scale with which the design scientist can model) and then scales the model up or down to reveal the forms of structure found at the start of structural experience beginning at the ten to the minus 35 power where the primary action loops reside and proceed upward in size all the way up to the galactic scale and beyond. Unless the theory can transverse all scales of structural experience, it is flawed and useless. In other words, FST believes, as did Buckminister Fuller who inspired FST, that we can model the quantum world, that the observable limits we experience as we descend down into the world of the very small and very fast are not unknowable if we have the correct model and know how to apply it throughout the structural experience. FST does not accept the unknowability of fundamental matter and energy as many in physics are coming to conclude after years and billions of dollars of research effort. The problem is systemic to the means employed and is not fundamental. FST began by considering the nature of structure. By observing in 3-D how action operates in the models, their structural veracity can be observed and authenticated.
An early conclusion of FST is that action operates in a geometrical environment whereby (1) Lines interact; lines do not intersect, (2) Lines of action are closed loops; lines do not have ends, and (3) Lines and points have dimension; lines are not infinitely thin nor points infinitely small.
Observing these constraints produces a structure with lines of action that interact with each other producing a self-sustaining, free standing, stable event in three dimensional space. These structures are called Structors and Tensors. All polygons (any 3-D form) can be made using these structures and their derivatives.
