There are some exciting updates including the announcement of five (5)
confirmed presenters for the Fourth Biennial Design Science Symposium
at RISD:

 - Save the dates:  31 Jan - 2 Feb 2014!

 - Organized by the Synergetics Collaborative (SNEC) and The Edna Lawrence
   Nature Lab at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD)

 - Hosted by Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, Rhode Island

 - Confirmed presenters:  John Maeda, PhD, president RISD;
   Dennis Bartels, PhD, Exec. Director, S.F. Exploratorium; Chris Zelov;
   Richard Bresnahan, Master Potter, Fire and Soul; Eric Goertz, and
   Thomas T. K. Zung

 - Pending presenter: Donald E. Ingber, M.D., Ph.D, Wyss Institute for
   Biologically Inspired Engineering, Harvard University

 - Theme:  We have updated the theme of the event to be
      STEM to STEAM thru Synergy:
      Bridging Morphology, Biomimicry, Sustainability, and Synergetics

   STEM stands for "Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics" and
   is a popular educational and academic focus despite its divisiveness in
   excluding the importance of the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
   STEAM stands for "Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and
   Mathematics". STEM to STEAM is an important RISD initiative:
